This is a gorgeous Kerala Set Mundu Sari and has just arrived at Sari Palace.
A set mundu (also called mundum neriyathum) is the traditional two-piece clothing worn by women in Kerala, India. It consists of a lower garment called the mundu and an upper garment called the neriyathu, both typically made of off-white or cream handloom cotton featuring distinct gold or zari borders known as kasavu.
Mundu: The lower piece wrapped around the waist.
Neriyathu: The upper piece worn across the upper body, typically draped over the left shoulder like a shawl.
Kasavu Border: The prominent gold metallic thread work woven into the cotton fabric. Modern variations may feature colored threads, copper, or floral designs alongside the gold
